Authors information

Speakers are required to use the laptop available in the lecture rooms on which Microsoft Power Point 2007 and Acrobat Reader XI are installed. The presentation has to be in either pdf or ppt(x) format. Moreover the presentation file will have to be uploaded, at least 30 minutes before the start of the lecture session in which the presentation is scheduled, at the “Presentation Upload Point” that will be located near the Conference Desk. Please do not include audio data. All the presentation files will be deleted at the end of the session and no copy will be saved. It is highly recommended to include in the name of the presentation files the linked paper ID, i.e. EMD9765.pptx would be an appropriate filename.

The time scheduled for each presentation is about 15 min. Questions to the authors will be submitted at the end of each presentation or at the end of the session, according to the Chairman guidelines.

Finally it is strictly required that the speakers will be present at the “Chairman Meeting Point”, located near the lecture session room, at least 10 minutes before the start of the lecture session.

All the posters should be in A0 format (84 cm x 120 cm) and only vertically oriented. No specific guidelines are provided for the preparation of the poster. Speedam organizers suggest only to clearly show the title (minimum 72 pt) and authors name + affiliation (minimum 48 pt) and to use at least a 24 pt font for the body-text and figure captions. Minimum one author per paper has to be present during the dialogue session (75 - 90 min). Posters have to be placed in the reserved space at least 30 minutes before the start of the session. In the Poster Area authors will find everything they need to fix the posters on the provided supports. Authors are kindly asked to remove their posters at the end of the dialogue session.
